Prof. WANG Lizhe Elected as 2022 SPIE Fellow

    The International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE) has announced the list of 58 newly selected Fellows for 2022, and 15 Chinese scientists were elected. Prof. WANG Lizhe from the School of Computer Science, China University of Geosciences was elected as SPIE Fellow for his outstanding contributions to the intelligent processing, analysis and application of optical remote sensing data.

    SPIE recognizes Fellows for their significant scientific and technical contributions in the multidisciplinary fields of optics, photonics and imaging. The Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE) is a non-profit professional organization in the United States. Its members consist of scientists, engineers, and users, as well as those who are interested in the practical application and popularization of optical engineering technology. SPIE membership includes Fellows and Senior Member programs. As of 1992, there are approximately 50,000 members throughout the world. SPIE has great influence in academic circles and is the most authoritative professional organization in this field.
